Capability Orchestration

The Space Industry Is Swapping Satellite Ownership for Orchestration

A government sensing program moved from evaluation into procurement this week. A tasking network added dozens of sensors it doesn’t own. A debris-tracking company bolted someone else’s hardware onto its own software. Three deals, three different corners of the industry, and not one of the companies involved built a bigger constellation to get there. All of them got more capable anyway, by orchestrating capability that already exists rather than buying more hardware.
